Boutique Raft Resort River Kwai

Friendly staff. Great selection of food at breakfast buffet. Central location to attractions.

Air condition was a bit loud. Dinner portion is small.

Back here again because I love staying on the raft and soaking in the vibe of the river.

The AC was a bit too cold.

The buffet breakfast was excellent and the location next to the river was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful; be sure to say hi to the local kitty (named S̄̂m (orange) and bring treats! :)

The raft is so, so neat and I love that it is right on the river, you can put your legs in right from the room.

Since the shower drains directly into the river, I wish the shower gel/shampoo that was provided was biodegradable. I wish there was a hammock, that would have been perfect to have on the balcony. The sound/vibrations from people in the rooms on the same raft made it a bit difficult to sleep. The dogs on the street nearby the hotel were a bit aggressive which made it not as nice to walk around.

Breakfast is great. For the Muslims there are options like egg, croissants cereals. Coffee is great. The room has air condition , the toilet are with modern fittings. Very quite and peaceful . A good place to rest.

Access for those with limited mobility may be an issue for some. Those with kids please watch the kids as the river is deep. The current is strong too.

The resort was attractive and finished and maintained to a great level. Lovely rooms and bathrooms. I wish we could have stayed longer. Great food. Staff very helpful in organising us a driver to take us to Erewan falls and back to Bangkok via a stop in Kanchanaburi. Value for money for the 5 of us. Did the bamboo rafting which was a fun activity. Free pickup from Nam Tok train station.

Construction on the other side of the river, but it was not in our direct line of sight from our room. Sad the resort is losing that isolated feeling. Cocktail options were a couple of alcopops but it didn't matter too much. And that's it for negatives!

It was very unique being on the river. The owner even was there to greet us and to send us off. Lovely!

I would’ve liked a mirror in the bathroom over the sink with a towel holder close to the sink — that is a small thing - But a comfort of home.

We enjoyed the peaceful setting and it was very relaxing being on the river. The included breakfast was great. Also enjoyed dinners in the restaurant and river rafting in Saturday organised by the staff. The staff were very helpful to arrange transport for the 5 of us to attend waterfall and elephant experience.

They are building a new resort across the river which detracted from the peacetambiennce.

The family who owns the business was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, they even brought me to a motorcycle rental and on my departure day to the train station. The rooms on the rafts are quite large and have a great terrase to relax on.

The coffee which they serve at breakfast had zero taste, so sad because Thailand has such excellent coffees. Unfortunately there is a big construction site on the other river bank, but this is not the fault of the resort!!!

Not worth for the money, most unacceptable is high risk in shower place. Esp unsafe for elder or limped people for getting in or stepping out. Seem no maintenance of the property since first built.

The location is stunning g. Staff friendly and helpful. Really good value and liked the eco feel with reclaimed wood.

It is a bit tricky to get to if you do not drive. Trainsttion is 3 km away and train times challenging. The train ride is well worth it though

Breakfast I expected more - Few fruit options. But would return to host again.I was delighted with the details. I am a very critical person when I have to rate a hotel, so I can say that all the bad points addressed in previous posts are not just details and in general the hotel is perfect.

Beautiful location, helpful staff, good food, aesthetically pleasing.

Walls are very thin and you can hear a lot from the neighbors. Not much in the immediate area, requiring a car or bicycle to get anywhere.

Good relaxing on the Kwai river. It was a real treat!

Noisy Pump on the other side of the river. It needs surrounding acoustic enclosure.

Perhaps some attention to maintenance would be of benefit, however given tourism is only just starting to get on track, it's perfectly understandable that this may take time. certainly nothing major was required.

Shower water leaks/ falls though the wooden floor into the river.
